In this phase, I hold a strategy meeting with my clients. I ask questions to get an understanding of their needs and gather requirements for the project. This ensures I can deliver a product that is within scope and that both parties are happy with.

Using the requirements gathered from the strategy meeting, I begin to design the product. I start by creating user flows to get an understanding of how the user would navigate through the product. I also create a sitemap to represent the structure of the product.

Then, I create a wireframe, a low-fidelity mockup that doesn’t have much styling. I review this with my client to ensure we’re on the right track. Once I get the approval, I add details and make the design come to life.

When my client approves the final design, I begin development. Depending on whether they would like a custom-code website or a website with a CMS like WordPress, I start creating the pages and send previews to the client to get feedback and encourage collaboration.

After all the pages are developed, I share a final preview with my client. We review the requirements and ensure they have been met. If needed, I also provide a tutorial to get the client up and running on how to manage the website.
